HG Living acquired the site with the benefit of detailed planning permission in a competitive tender from International Property Company, Hines. Through rationalisation, we have since secured planning permission for an additional 7 units under a non-material amendment to the planning permission.
Formerly used as agricultural allotments, the property is located in a highly sensitive, residential location immediately adjacent to the University of Exeter Streatham Campus and serviced entirely by private roads owned by the Duryard Trust. Construction is ongoing and will be completed by the autumn term 2022.
The site presented significant challenges including the removal of an unexploded 2,200 lb WW2 German bomb through planned detonation, as well as the natural topography of the steeply sloping location.
